Application was just as amazing. The consistency of Crown of Thistles is fluid, creamy and dense, with a velvety glide over the nail and outstanding self-leveling properties. Pigmentation is also excellent, with wearable opacity delivered in one coat. I used two for most even coverage and to make sure I got the most out of the rich color. Cleanup is easy and straightforward. Crown of Thistles dries naturally in very good time to a silky smooth finish that is enhanced by a glossy topcoat, which also pops the colors of the prismatic flair.
Photos show two coats of Crown of Thistles over treatment and basecoat with a topcoat of Seche Vite.

In the language of flowers, the thistle is an ancient Celtic symbol of nobility of character as well as of birth. The thistle has been the national emblem of Scotland since the reign of Alexander III (1249–1286). According to a legend, an invading Norse army was attempting to sneak up at night upon a Scottish army's encampment. During this operation one barefoot Norseman had the misfortune to step upon a thistle, causing him to cry out in pain, thus alerting Scots to the presence of the Norse invaders.
Perfect polish!

These pics... that holo... this is a seriously amazing post. Crown of Thistles is fantastic on you!! This needs to get off of my untried list and onto my nails, stat.
ReplyDelete...It might be a problem, though, because I could stare at your pictures forever. Goodness only knows what kind of distraction it will be on my own hands...
Thanks, Marisa, and YES! Get this one on your nails, it will make your eyes happy! As photogenic as this one is, it's just as beautiful in person. You will love it!
DeleteI can't decide whether Crown of Thistles or Fotheringhay Castle is my favorite of the collection... and then there's Queen of Scots, which is also amazing in person, more than photos show.
