Application was lovely. The consistency of Valle de la Luna is fluid, creamy and dense with a medium viscosity and a plush, silky, self-leveling glide over the nail, an eminently paintable formula that likes to go on in thin-to-medium coats and is easy to manipulate with Elevation's slender, round brush. Pigmentation is very good, delivering evenly opaque coverage and full bottle color in two medium coats. Cleanup is easy. Valle de la Luna dries naturally in very good time to a smooth shiny finish.
Photos show two coats of Valle de la Luna over treatment and basecoat with a topcoat of Seche Vite.

I adore stormy blues like this! It's kind of a modest, unassuming color but has an exquisitely graceful, elegant and flattering impact, the way that a well-tailored, structured jacket or blazer has when you wear it with jeans. I also find it romantic, although I couldn't say exactly why. It's just poignantly beautiful!
The Valle de la Luna (Valley of the Moon) is located in Chile's Atacama Desert, the driest non-polar region in the world. Part of the Los Flamencos National Reserve, it was declared a National Sanctuary in 1982 for its great natural beauty and strange lunar-like landscape, and is acclaimed for the wide range of colors and textures found in its dry salt lakes, diverse saline outcrops, escarpments, caverns and sand formations.

That's lovely - it has an almost milky quality which lifts it above the norm. Onto the wishlist it goes!
ReplyDeleteScore! *lol* Just kidding... kind of. ;)
DeleteThat milkiness gives it a lot of body and a very creamy, smooth look on the nail, no? And it has just the right amount of holographic effervescence. Love this so much!
This is one of those cases where I like this color in one aspect but not another. This color, to me, is a beautiful polish, but I do not like this color in jeans - not a fan of the stone-washed look; that's just me, though, lol.
ReplyDeleteWell, Lara, now I know what not to get you for your birthday! *lol*
DeleteI prefer dark denim myself, although I do have a pair of linen pants similar in color to this polish. They aren't the most flattering pants, either, but I like to wear them with red on top -- it's a happy kind of contrast.
