Application was wonderful. The consistency of Never Forget Who You Are is fluid, creamy and dense with a medium viscosity and a full-bodied, self-leveling flow over the nail. Pigmentation shows a little bit of sheerness on the first coat that quickly builds to fully opaque coverage with the second. A third coat will deliver even deeper, richer color and holographic effects, and that's what I used for this manicure. Cleanup is straightforward with a skosh of pigment travel as you might expect from such a shade but no residual staining to speak of. Never Forget What You Are dries naturally in very good time to a silky smooth finish that has a soft shine. Topcoat does not appear to affect the holographic properties of this polish in any way.
Photos show three coats of Never Forget What You Are over treatment and basecoat with a topcoat of Seche Vite.

This polish is named for a quote by the character of Tyrion Lannister, played by Peter Hayden Dinklage in the series. He says to Jon Snow:
Let me give you some advice bastard. Never forget what you are. The rest of the world will not. Wear it like armor, and it can never be used to hurt you.So interesting that this dramatically beautiful, richly-hued polish is linked with Tyrion!
love,
Liz
OMG, WOW - sometimes I am so stunned by a polish that words fail and so what comes out are old chestnuts/standbys... because I am still gazing at the beauty, unable to form sensible words (and unwilling to break the spell, also!). Also what can you say sometimes besides omg and wow? Well, okay, you can say much and in a uniquely poetic and beautiful flow... but you are a maestro! Or are you the same way when you first see the polish, lol? When does the lyrical polish muse speak to you - when you tilt the bottle up to let the light play upon it; when it slides on, glistening with such promise ; when the coats are dry and you hold your hands up, captivated by the mystery that is a beautiful and beautifully-done polish? I am a very amateur connoisseur of polish and try not to take it too seriously but, I must admit, I find myself all too frequently bewitched by the dynamic characteristics of these liquid jewels that adorn our nails. What a fabulous polish this one is!
ReplyDelete*lol* Lara, I'm just like you. OMG! Wow! and the intermittent Whoa! -- occasionally embellished with a squeal. And I probably wouldn't take it any further than that if I didn't sit down and make it my business to articulate what I see. Don't underestimate your connoisseurship, my dear, especially as it brings you so much joy, which is, after all, one of life's greatest treasures. You're a colorist! High five, chest bump!
DeleteHigh five back at ya! Yes, I love color, even the so-called dreary ones in the right context and balance. I remember when a printer I used a lot delivered to me brochures and such that I had designed for a convention, he made a remark about, when he saw the colors I had chosen, he thought I had lost it but, in the end, loved how they all came together in a cohesive design. (I was a graphic designer.) Color fascinates me. You know how some creatures sight sees colors/wave lengths we can't? I have wondered if I was suddenly able to see those if I would like it or if it would be just too much to handle and wish to go back to normal human vision!
DeleteHahah, you should see me looking at the racks of paint store swatches! It can be overwhelming and, sometimes, I feel I could easily start hyperventilating. I want to grab them all and hug them to me!
