Creator Karen describes this polish as a magenta-leaning pink filled with holographic microflakes and a variety of purple and cherry glitters with added red-to-purple color-shifting pigment. It's a fabulous steel pink microglitter bomb, bright and vivid with aspects of raspberry and red-violet. Sparkling like crazy within the tinted jelly base are countless tiny microglitter squares and hexes in purple and bright reddish pink -- a genius colorway that reinforces the base color beautifully. Direct sun fires up the holographic microflakes, adding a blanket of bright prismatic sparks to the look.
Application was awesome. The consistency of Midnight Checkout Queen is fluid, light and remarkably smooth for a glitter-laden polish, with a medium-to-thick viscosity that I added polish thinner to at the outset. Thinned, it had an easy, fluent, self-leveling glide over the nail with very even glitter distribution and no stacking or stickups. Coverage is provided by the components and builds quickly to opacity in two medium coats or three thin ones. Be sure to wrap your tips carefully to ensure full coverage there! I did my cleanup as I went along and it's totally a credit to the paintability of this polish that I had relatively little to do. Midnight Checkout Queen dries naturally in good time to a flat, sandy-textured finish. For a glitter-under-glass look, I added a layer of gel effect topcoat before finishing with a layer of Seche Vite.

I love the depth and visual texture of this look, and the color displays a transparent red-violet sheen in certain lights thanks to the color-shifting pigment. Those little cherry glitters are especially fetching. Nice!
