Nire's Desire Original Sin-amon

Today I have the last polish from my recent Nire's Desire spree, Original Sin-amon. Erin says, "Reminiscent of leaves and spiced tea this color is a red with brown undertones," but I prefer to think of it as a rosy copper although it's not a metallic. It's a beautiful medium-toned blend of red, brown and copper in a shimmer format. On the nail it has a bright center that darkens around the edges, giving it that lit from within look. It's rare that you find a polish in a coppery shade that isn't metallic and doesn't have a burnt orange look. But there you go.

Application was great. The consistency is fluid and dense and a little sticky, but not overly so. Pigmentation is excellent with near opacity in one medium coat but you'll want two for full depth and richness of color. I used medium coats, wrapped the tips on the first coat only and had no problems with the appearance of brushstrokes, despite my tendency to overwork the polish. You wouldn't guess it from my photos but cleanup is easy and straightforward. Original Sin-amon dries naturally in good time to a smooth shiny finish.

Photos show two coats of Original Sin-amon over treatment and basecoat with a topcoat of Seche Vite.

The longer I wore this polish the more it grew on me. It reminds me of coppery red freshwater pearls, it has that same sort of silky nacreous luster to it that just blooms as light plays over it. Earthy and luxe at the same time, a beautiful rendition of the autumnal russet. Very nice!

love,
Liz
