Iceberg Lake was released by Minnesota-based indie polish maker Elevation Polish as part of the Wyoming the Wild collection in April 2015. Creator Lulu describes this as a "dusty jade/mint with subtle pearl shimmer," but on me it is more of a turquoise, very like the gemstone, a cyanic shade with a soft, dilute, luminous quality. Abundant pearly blond shimmers are barely perceptible on the nail but add to the luminosity of the look.
Application was tetchy. The consistency of Iceberg Lake is fluid and very creamy with a medium viscosity and a fairly smooth glide over the nail, but I had difficulty applying it evenly and it didn't self-level as well as I would have liked. Pigmentation is very good, with wearable opacity in two coats provided it is applied evenly. Because I had trouble with that, I ended up using three coats for this manicure. Cleanup is easy. Iceberg Lake dries naturally in good time to a smooth shiny finish.
Photos show three coats of Iceberg Lake over treatment and basecoat with a topcoat of Seche Vite.

Really like this polish. It looks nice on your skin tone.
ReplyDeleteI hope all is well with John. <3
Thanks, Lara. I like it too, especially that gorgeous creamy quality.
DeleteThanks also for mentioning John! His heart catheterization went very well. They only found one place that needed a stent, which they placed without incident. This was an excellent outcome given his family history of heart disease, much better than we expected. I was so relieved!
He was alert and relaxed after the procedure but they decided to keep him overnight for observation, which we wanted them to do although he wasn't exactly pleased to be there. I spent the night in the hospital with him, reliving certain events of his nightmare stroke/sepsis hospitalization in 2011. He stressed out a bit over his meds and his blood pressure was rather high, but they let him go the next day. He's feeling much better now and has some follow-ups over the next couple of weeks, so hopefully he's good to go for a while now.
