Application was a bit messy for this one and hard to cleanup completely also. The consistency of Moondance is fluid and very light, so my shaky hands had plenty of chances to swipe edges and cuticles. Given the transparency of the base, this polish is very sheer going on. I used three coats to get an opacity I was happy with. As I mentioned, cleanup wasn't altogether successful with many of the flaky shimmers escaping my clean up brush and plastering themselves around my nail environs. But as they say about an ounce of prevention, a more careful application than mine can preclude the hassles of cleanup. Moondance dries naturally in average time to a smooth shiny finish. A good topcoat makes the most of the multi-colored shimmers in this polish.
Photos show three coats of Moondance over treatment and basecoat with a topcoat of Seche Vite.

I'm a little disappointed with Moondance. I guess I was expecting something a little less murky. It is a nice shimmering taupe, but the individual flakes of shimmer aren't noticeable except upon very close inspection so it doesn't have quite the mosaic foily look that I'm so fond of.
I've read that Moondance is very very similar to OPI's The World Is Not Enough, another subtle shimmering taupe. Boombastic Nails has a comparison of the two here and declares them pretty much dead on ringers for each other.
love,
Liz
