Zoya LC

LC was released by Zoya as part of the Gossip collection for summer 2008. Officially described by Zoya as a coral red, LC is a medium creamy slightly muted crimson nuanced with vivid deep cerise pink, a beautiful rosy watermelon red that is totally in sync with the color of polished mediterranean coral. It's a bit of a chameleon, with a carmine look in some lights, a ruby in others, and a deep amaranth pink in others. Here in my somewhat dim office it's taken on a tomato red appearance, but when I go into the relatively bright natural light of our tv room next door it, the rosiness in it is more apparent.

Application was lovely. The consistency of LC is fluid, creamy and light, easy to manipulate, with beautiful self-leveling flow over the nail. Pigmentation is amazing! LC is a one coat wonder for sure, although I did two for the photos. All that pigment means a little more care needs to be taken during cleanup, as LC can leave pinkish red traces if not thoroughly removed from skin and cuticles. This polish dries naturally in good time to a glossy finish. Really nice!

Photos show two coats of LC over Seche Rebuild treatment and Butter London Nail Foundation basecoat with a topcoat of Seche Vite.

LC is gorgeous! Whatever nomenclature used to categorize it, it's universally a bright happy summer color. Light enough not weigh you down or push you into heavy glamour, bright enough to springboard your tips into the warmer months, vivid enough to look fantastic against any skin tone.

This is so close to what I'd imagined as my holy grail coral that it just might be the one!

love,
Liz
