Tami Beauty Skibo Sunset
Skibo Sunset is part of the core line from Scottish boutique polish maker Tami Beauty. It is a wonderful medium magenta holographic polish. The color is graceful and resonant, a slightly purpled deeper pink with absolutely gorgeous nuancing by the holographic properties (similar in character to A England's signature tightly scattered/loosely linear effects and display). In almost any light there is a stunning shimmery shaft of lighter rosy pink with a golden sheen beneath it that emanates from within the polish, producing a breathtakingly lovely, dimensional tone-on-tone glow along the axis of light. In direct sun, the holo flair is vivid and poignantly beautiful, with sunset colors of fuchsia, flame, pink, rose, red orange and an otherworldly violet shifting within the display. Exquisite!
Application was fantastic. The consistency of Skibo Sunset is fluid, creamy and dense with a buttery, self-leveling glide over the nail -- truly a delight to work with! Pigmentation is excellent with wearable opacity in one coat, but a second augments the depth, dimensionality and richness of color exponentially. This is a user-friendly formula, handling all kinds of application finagling with grace. Cleanup is a breeze. Skibo Sunset dries naturally in average time to a smooth, shiny finish.

This polish was inspired by the blooming gardens of Skibo Castle, a
Scottish castle dating back to the 12th century with the present
structure largely of the 19th and early 20th century, when it was the
home of industrialist Andrew Carnegie. It currently operates as the
Carnegie Club, a members-only hotel and country club. It is listed on
the Inventory of Gardens and Designed Landscapes in Scotland, a list of
nationally significant designed landscapes.
To me, Skibo Sunset is the sort of polish that represents boutique polish making at its very best, from its inspiration to its composition and formula to its execution. This is a polish of integrity, and it's simply gorgeous! I purchased my bottle from Llarowe, and its currently available as I write this.
Skibo Sunset is definitely one for the books. I'm completely bewitched!
love,
Liz
