China Glaze Outrageous
Outrageous was released by China Glaze as part of the Flirt collection for spring/summer 2005. It is a medium well-balanced creamy guava pink creme, bright but not intensely so, a rosy watermelon sort of pink that has maybe a drop or two of tangerine in it to give it a corally feel. Summery, with a richly feminine floral/fruity vibe, it's a charming, gregarious, happy color.
Application was amazing. The consistency of Outrageous is liquid and creamy, with excellent flow over the nail and an extremely user-friendly balance of liquidity and viscosity. I'm always a little startled when I pull out a China Glaze brush after not using one of their polishes for a while -- they look so long and bushy! I looked at that brush and thought, man I am going to get this polish all over the place. Not so! It applied so perfectly I almost didn't need clean up. Pigmentation was very good also, with substantially opaque coverage in one coat. I did two for the photos. This is the kind of polish that can show dark patches where coverage is thin, and although it self-leveled quite well I could see a few dark lines where my ridges are on some nails once I looked at the photos. In person, though, this wasn't noticeable. Cleanup, such as it was, was easy, straightforward and non-staining. Outrageous dries naturally in good time to a fantastic glossy finish.
Photos show two coats of Outrageous over treatment and basecoat with a topcoat of Glisten and Glow HK Girl.

Surely this qualifies as a gerbera daisy pink, no? I love gerbera daisies, especially the warm pink ones, their color is just irresistible to me. Outrageous has that same irresistible quality, it's just luscious! I cannot help myself, I love this polish! I'm sure there are loads of pinks out there that are very similar, if not exactly like it. But this one has the added appeal of profoundly satisfying application in addition to the gorgeous color. And it's in my stash. Win!
love,
Liz
