Application was lovely. The consistency of Fading Tapestry is fluid and smooth with a very nice paintable balance of fluidity and viscosity. Pigmentation is very good. I was delighted with the coverage obtained in just one coat and did two only to ensure capturing the rich bottle color and to ensure complete opacity. This polish has excellent self-leveling properties, camouflaging my ridges completely. Cleanup was easy and straightforward although I did take a bit of extra care to remove a few traces of red from my skin and cuticles. Fading Tapestry dries naturally in very good time to a slightly flat finish with a tiny bit of texture to it, easily handled by a layer of topcoat.
Photos show two coats of Fading Tapestry over treatment and basecoat with a topcoat of Seche Vite.

While not as theatrical as a linear holo, Fading Tapestry's got plenty of marvelous going on with the myriad shades of red visible in it's rich, divinely speckled scattered holo finish. The sparks of color springing out from the holographic microglitters add the perfect dramatic touch. Inspired by "neglected luxuries of eras long past," Jacinta has created a perfect tribute in Fading Tapestry. It has the feel of something precious and forgotten in a shadowed hall rediscovered and brought out again into the light of day to delight in and admire.
I purchased this and one other polish from Lacquer Chic, a new-to-me online vendor of indie and boutique polishes from around the world. They arrived carefully and beautifully packaged, except Fading Tapestry was broken. Luckily each polish was enveloped in its own pocket of bubble wrap, so no polish-coated box contents (unlike, say... ZOYA). I was convinced that the breakage had occurred not because it had knocked against anything but because the bottle itself was flawed, improperly annealed or tempered during manufacture. I took some photos and sent a message to this effect via Lacquer Chic's contact form on the website. Tiffany, co-owner of Lacquer Chic, responded immediately, asked me to email my photos so that they could be forwarded to Powder Perfect and told me she'd be sending a replacement bottle of Fading Tapestry the next day. Apparently it was indeed a problem with the bottle manufacturer, and my replacement bottle of Fading Tapestry arrived just two days later. Hurray for awesome customer service, thank you Tiffany!
love,
