Application was on par with Too Fancy’s consistently high quality formulas, which is to say: wonderful! The consistency of Positively Pink is fluid, creamy and dense with a plush velvety glide over the nail that has a slight pull to it. Self leveling properties are very good and pigmentation is outstanding. Given smooth nail beds and a generous hand, one coat will provide evenly opaque coverage. As I do not have smooth nail beds, I used two generous coats to fully camouflage my ridges. Cleanup is easy and straightforward. Positively Pink dries naturally in very good time to a smooth shiny finish. Topcoat does not diminish the holographic effects of the polish in any way.
Photos show two coats of Positively Pink over treatment and basecoat with a topcoat of Seche Vite.

Positively Pink is in the same color family as Too Fancy's Magnifique, and just as dynamic and radiant. It's what I think of as a fierce pink, much more focused and energetic than your typical Easter egg variety of purpley pink. At first I wasn't sure how I felt about it. I tend to gravitate towards deeper, warmer, more watermelony pinks, and this is a totally different animal. It stretched a little beyond my pink comfort zone, which was much more limited in scope than I realized. Ah, chagrin! Once again we cross paths!
My initial uneasy apprehension lasted about five hours, to be replaced almost suddenly by genuine admiration, if not affection. It didn't hurt that I resolved an immensely frustrating network connectivity issue with my mac at right about the same time. Ha!
love,
Liz
Are you always so changeable? :P This is a perfectly lovely pink and probably my favorite type of pink in that it's got that charming bit o' purple. It reminds me of Zoya Rory in holo form. It seems strange to me now that I used to not care for pink polish. What the smack was I thinking??
ReplyDeleteIt's not a bug, it's a feature! Actually, I'm not usually THAT changeable. It had everything to do with the internet connectivity issue getting fixed. I could have had Cheez Whiz on my nails and it would have been the prettiest thing ever.
DeletePurpley pinks usually don't look all that great on me, but this one is saturated enough to hold its own against my pinkage. I don't know what you could have had against a color that looks so beautiful on you. Fuzzy doesn't like pink. She likes to go around saying stuff like "just say NO to pink!" But then I'll have on a particularly fetching pink polish and she'll be all over it. So if I am changeable, you see where I get it!
You had me at pink! I love it as much as I do red. Actually, my pink range is larger than my red scale, although the tight focus of red that I do like (so far, subject to change) is fiercer. Wowzer, this one is gorgeous! Lust is in my heart!
ReplyDeleteToo Fancy makes gorgeous holos, pink and otherwise. I got this one at Color4Nails dot com. You should check them out, Lara!
