Hare Polish Dauphine of Decadence over Zoya Tracie

Look familiar?

Zoya Tracie and Hare Polish Dauphine of Decadence

Well it should! That photo was taken on your front porch. I know I showed a few pictures of these two in my Nail Polish in Your House post, but after It's Not Rocket Science I felt the need for a different more summery mani. And since my head was all full of GREEN my thoughts immediately went to Hare's Dauphine of Decadence. Fuzzy, who btw (by the way) is also a big fan of Hare Polish, hadn't seen this one yet and it was one that I definitely wanted to show her.

So this is a repeat manicure. I can't believe I'm already posting a repeat manicure after blogging for only two months. I have a feeling that this is not typical polish blog protocol, but there you go.

I've been thinking about going public with this blog. Right now, the only people who are allowed to see it are you, your mom and dad, and Fuzzy. I'm just not sure about having people who don't know me scrutinizing my silliness and awful flaky cuticles. *sweat sweat* What do you think?

Back to Dauphine of Decadence.

(btw Dauphine -- "doh FEEN eh" -- means, roughly, princess. Back when France was a monarchy, the Dauphine was married to the Dauphin -- "doh FEH" -- the son of the king. You speak French, you probably know all this already.)

As I was saying, Dauphine of Decadence. This is a glitter topper, made especially to layer over another polish. It's another masterful creation by Nikole of Hare Polish, and contains golden hex and square glitters in various sizes, pale mint green matte hex glitters in different sizes and lots of golden shimmer in a clear base. On the nail, it has a lovely delicate feel, like twinkling golden lace on your fingertips.

I chose to layer it over Zoya Josie, a creamy pale pistachio green creme with a bit of fine silvery shimmer.

All of the photos are very true to how this polish combo looks in real life. The photos that most accurately show what it FEELS like when you wear it are the ones that show my whole hand, like this one taken at your house:

What a great look. Full of light and lively as all get out yet still dainty, soft and feminine. I love this so hard! Did I mention that it twinkles and glimmers in the lowest of light? Dauphine of Decadence was a delight to apply, too, all the glitters and shimmer flowed beautifully and lay down so nicely on the nail. Although the green and the glitters are the stars of the show, the beautiful abundant golden shimmer ties it all together and just MAKES this look.

Ah, me. *sigh* I have no idea what to follow this one with. I'll think of something! Maybe a three for one... hmmm....

love,
Aunt Liz
