Creator Carrie describes I Can Wait Forever as a "pale sage green soft linear holographic polish with silver holographic microglitters, holographic glitter, and holographic pigment." The color is a muted semi-translucent yellow-green with grey overtones, a celadon kind of shade, through which the tiny microglitters read as a pale lemony gold. The holo pigment dimensionalizes it with a soft radiance and a very subtle blush of azure, and it has a delicate pervasive prismatic twinkle that reminds me of the way mica sparkles in the sun. So pretty!
Application was a delight. The consistency of I Can Wait Forever is fluid, light and creamy with a medium viscosity and an easy, self-leveling flow over the nail. As you would expect from a polish with a degree of translucence, pigmentation is rather sheer with the first coat but builds easily to wearable coverage in two medium coats or three thinner ones. I like to paint with a bead of polish on the end of my brush, so I usually end up with medium coats and I used three of them for this manicure, probably a little more polish than necessary for opacity but I liked the density of coloration it gave me. Cleanup is easy and straightforward. I Can Wait Forever dries naturally in very good time to a smooth, shiny finish.

I think that Carrie chose her inspiration for this collection with tongue firmly in cheek, but this is a truly lovely polish. The color is so gentle and soothing, it's like a panacea for all the over-the-top madness of life, not to mention beautifully suited to the upcoming season. The other polishes in the Lost in Love collection are similarly composed, so if green is not your thing there are other soft colors to chose from. But who can resist a celadon polish?
Not me!
love,
Liz
Not me either! (Resist a celadon polish, that is.) I had just finished re-reading your Happy Ending post when this flashed up on the home screen, and I gasped aloud. Then I realized it was that collection I shared- I clearly didn't pay enough attention, I didn't know it was already available! And yet it is very timely, indeed. This thyme-tinted celadon puts me in such a March mood! The brooding cloudy weather of early spring brings to mind what I imagine Scotland to be, and I can certainly see this silvered green being at home in a misty highland moor. Oh la la, such a color for daydreaming ♡
ReplyDeleteI'd forgotten about that share, you have such a good eye for a great collection, as this one certainly is. I was immediately drawn to the green, because, well... green (and such a gorgeous one too)! But I can't help but want to try the others too, so perfect for spring and so beautifully composed with that wonderful twinkle and great formula. I haven't gone back for any others yet, but if this one sticks in my mind like I think it will I may well do that because I don't have many typically spring kind of polishes, lighter colors with a more delicate feel to them. I do so love my medium-toned brights.
DeleteI love your color daydreams! I wish I could channel them, I'd have so much more to write about and my blog would certainly be more interesting!
Oh my - Yes, please! I am having a 'thing' with greens all of a sudden - everything from swampy, mossy, olive greens to emerald green (well, I've always loved that!) to the more delicate pale jade variations. This polish is gorgeous! As are the descriptives both you and Miss Marisa give to it!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lara. This is certainly a lovely green, and not typical either. I think you need it! *grows horns and brandishes a pitchfork*
