Contrary Polish Fresh
Like Breeze, Fresh was released at the beginning March this year by Missouri-based indie polish maker Contrary Polish as part of the Spring It On collection. It is described as a greyed lavender creme. The color is a medium-toned creamy variation of violet, similar to Pantone's African violet but more blue. A little moody, a little melancholy and very soulful, this is another storm cloud kind of shade and I am unabashedly smitten with it. It's a true violet, not a purple, and as such is completely free of the sort of muddiness that can accompany muted purples. Cool and slightly aloof, there's a graceful resonance to this color that just sends me!
Application was awesome. The consistency of Fresh is fluid, dense and very smooth with a medium viscosity and a lush, creamy, self-leveling glide over the nail that is very satisfying to apply. It likes to go on in medium coats and is easy to float over the nail using Contrary's relatively wide, flattened brush (fans out perfectly at the cuticle, so nice). Pigmentation is excellent -- it feels like a one coater at the outset, but two provides the most evenly opaque coverage, especially if you paint in thin coats. Cleanup is easy. Fresh dries naturally in very good time to a smooth, shiny finish.
Photos show two coats of Fresh over treatment and basecoat with a topcoat of Seche Vite.

Such an incredibly dreamy color, this mysterious cloudy violet! Feels sleek and quite tony on the nail -- it's the color of very cool secrets about the next big thing. I love it!
