Glam Polish True Love's Kiss

Today I have another polish to show you from the Forever After collection, released at the beginning of this month by Australian indie polish maker Glam Polish. It's True Love's Kiss, the slightly warmer and lighter of the two bright pinks in the collection. To my eye, the color is something like an intense Baker-Miller pink, with the delectable creaminess that is this collection's signature and a buoyant, floral vibe that fits in perfectly with what I think of as the gerbera daisy palette of pinks. Holographic microflake shimmers and superabundant tiny ultraholo glitters give it a gently speckled appearance and a twinkling aspect in ambient light, where there's a flush of misty lavender to the base. Direct sun brightens the color a bit and engenders a blanket of brilliant rainbow sparkle.

Application was luscious. The consistency of True Love's Kiss is fluid, smooth and slightly loamy with a medium viscosity and a creamy, self-leveling glide over the nail. Pigmentation is excellent, delivering wearably opaque coverage in one coat, albeit a generous one. I used two for the photos. Cleanup is all about chasing down rogue glitters, with very little pigment travel and no residual staining to speak of. True Love's Kiss dries naturally in very good time to a flat, sandy-textured finish that wants a nice topcoat to look its best.

Photos show two coats of True Love's Kiss over treatment and basecoat with a topcoat of Seche Vite.

Just as sweet as it can be! Even though this isn't a neon shade, there's a bit of a neon vibe to it especially in the sun, where you can see the intense reddish color that appears around the edges of the nail. This is definitely one to wear while basking, poolside perhaps, where the color really comes in to its own and the holographic sparkle is going full tilt.

ttfn,
Liz
