Different Dimension Kiss Me Under The Light Of A Thousand Stars

Like As Long As The Stars Are Above You and Others That Broke My Heart They Were Like Northern Stars, Kiss Me Under The Light Of A Thousand Stars was released last month by Indiana-based indie polish maker Different Dimension as part of the I Do Trio, which Missi created in celebration of her 13 January wedding. This polish was made to match the cake topper.

Missi describes it as a "silver full coverage glitter bomb loaded with smaller sized silver holographic micro-glitters in a slightly holographic tinted base." It is fantastic! It gives the impression of pulverized platinum laced with bazillions of sparkling nanoscale diamonds. The underlying color is a pale achromatic grey similar to the way web color silver appears on a computer screen, but you scarcely notice it amidst all of the lightplay. The prismatic sparkle in the sun is amazing!

Application was wonderful. The consistency of Kiss Me Under The Light Of A Thousand Stars is fluid and slightly fluffy with a perfectly-paintable, medium viscosity and a smooth, even, self-leveling glide over the nail, most impressive! Coverage is provided by the glitters, which go on so evenly that you could easily wear this at one coat as a sheer sparklefest -- it looks gorgeous that way -- and is opaque enough in two coats that I can't see needing a third. I did my cleanup as I went along while the polish was wet and had no issues. Kiss Me Under The Light Of A Thousand Stars dries naturally in extremely good time to a sandy, matte finish that is admirably smoothed by a single layer of glitter-smoothing or gel-effect topcoat. I added a final topcoat of Seche Vite for a glossy, glitter-under-glass look, but you could also wear it without topcoat as a sparkling matte, very chic!

Photos show two coats of Kiss Me Under The Light Of A Thousand Stars over treatment and basecoat with a layer of Girly Bits Glitter Glaze plus a layer of Seche Vite.

The name of this polish comes from the song "Thinking Out Loud" by British singer/songwriter/guitarist/record producer Ed Sheeran.

I highly recommend the I Do Trio -- all three of them are beautifully-formulated, gorgeous polishes. It's a limited edition collection that will only be available for two more weeks, until Valentine's Day. Don't miss your chance to share in Missi's wedding celebration!

love,
Liz
