Application was wonderful. The consistency of Christmas Eve Magic is fluid, light and smooth with a thin-to-medium viscosity and a silky, self-leveling slip over the nail, an eminently paintable formula that is a pleasure to finesse with Grace-full's sleekly compact, flattened style brush. Pigmentation is also excellent, delivering wearably opaque coverage in one medium coat, although I recommend two to maximize the dimensionality of this polish. Cleanup is remarkably easy for a well-pigmented deep blue, with a skosh of pigment travel but very little residual staining. Christmas Eve Magic dries naturally in very good time to a smooth, slightly flat finish. Topcoat pops the presence of the flakies and adds gloss without interfering with the holographic properties of the base in any way that I could tell.
Photos show two coats of Christmas Eve Magic over treatment and basecoat with a topcoat of Seche Vite.

Atlantic blue is one of my favorite shades of blue, so it's no surprise that I love this polish. It's just so beautiful and the dimensionality of those shimmering holographic flakies is out of this world!
Theresa's inspiration for this polish comes from memories of her father taking her outdoors on Christmas Eve to look for Santa's sleigh in the night sky. This reminded me of a Christmas Eve night when I was about six. I was too excited to sleep and curled up on the foot of the bed where there was a window. Looking out into the night, I was thrilled to see a tiny pulsing red light. Could that be Rudolph!?! At some point I must have realized that it was a radio tower since it never moved, but I remember staring at that light until I fell asleep with my head and arms on the window sill.
love,
Liz
This is such a stunningly beautiful polish. I don't think any of the night sky polishes I have are quite that shade of blue - I love it! It is so flattering.
ReplyDeleteI love this one, it made me so happy to see it on my nails! And you're right, it's very flattering.
DeleteBeautiful polish - I'm obsessed with blues! Loved your Rudolph story too :) xx
ReplyDeleteAnd the formula is fantastic! I'm a blue-lover too.
DeleteThank you, lasoti. At six I was right on the cusp of figuring out Christmas and that radio tower was a big clue!
