Application was lovely. The consistency is fluid, dense and a little oily, very easy to control with beautiful flow over the nail. Pigmentation is very good with complete, self-leveling coverage in two coats. My first coat actually needed no cleanup at all, a rare occurrence. Of course then I got a little slap happy with the second coat and swiped some skin here and there. No worries, cleanup is a snap with no staining and no shimmer flinging to be found. Poltergeist Puddle dries in good time to a smooth shiny finish, to which I added topcoat for some dimensional gloss and to pop the colors of those pretty shimmers.
Photos show two coats of Poltergeist Puddle over treatment and basecoat with a topcoat of Seche Vite.

Outdoors, you can see a bit of the duochromatic aspect of this polish -- it's violet in the center and draws to a reddish purple at the edges. Under incandescent light, you are treated to the fantastic pink flash. Really, it's wonderful in any light but in direct sun when you can see all of the shimmers sparkling from within the layers of polish, you can't help but think gratefully about the skill and creativity that went into it's composition. And that's one of the things I love most about Poltergeist Puddle and the other Pretty Serious offerings that I've experienced, that they're just so beautifully crafted and eminently wearable.
And having a polish like that on your nails feels pretty awesome!
love,
Liz
