Application was lovely. I'm learning to expect nothing but superb quality from Ji's formulas and Forgotten Road is another perfect example of such. The consistency is fluid, creamy and light with a silky, self-leveling glide over the nail, easily manipulated by RBL's round flexible brush. An extremely user-friendly polish, this one accepts patches and edging easily, with patches melting into invisibility on the nail. I had to extract a hair and a fiber that had gotten painted into two different nails, and a bead of polish on the brush swept over these spots left no traces that any repair had been done. So impressive! Pigmentation is excellent, with completely even opaque coverage in two coats. Although you may be tempted to stop at one, I do recommend the additional coat for full richness of color. Cleanup is easy and straightforward. Forgotten Road dries naturally in good time to a glossy finish.
Photos show two coats of Forgotten Road over treatment and basecoat with a somewhat bubbly topcoat of Seche Vite.

I love this deep complex creamy grey with its subtle undertones and serious nature. It sits very cleanly on the nail, giving my fingers a nimble, capable aspect that I find attractive and reassuring. Although a dark polish, it doesn't FEEL dark. It feels gentler than that, with a lilting lonesome sense that befits its name.
Now if only I can rid my nails of those leftover Laissez les Bon Temps Rouler 2.0 microglitters! Yes, they're still there, wedged in my sidewalls and cuticles. Hopefully by this time tomorrow I'll gave gotten them all.
love,
Liz
