Application was a joy. Like its sister polish, You're My Hooper Hero, Hip Hoop Hooray has a fluid, lusciously creamy consistency with a perfectly balanced viscosity for painting. It just glides onto the nail like butter and is easily manipulated with Girly Bits flattened, plush, flexible brush. Pigmentation is very, very good, not quite as translucent as You're My Hooper Hero but still translucent to a degree that allows light to penetrate and fire up the brilliant color. For the purpose of this post, I used three coats to be sure of most even opacity but I'd happily wear it at two if I weren't taking pictures of it. Cleanup is a breeze, with very little pigment travel and no residual staining. Hip Hoop Hooray dries naturally in very good time to a shade that is slightly less milky than bottle color and a silky, semi-matte finish that loves a glossy topcoat to bring out the depth and radiance of the color.
Photos show three coats of Hip Hoop Hooray over Seche Rebuild treatment and Pretty Serious All Your Base basecoat with a rather messy, bubbly topcoat of Seche Vite. My apologies. It didn't look so bad in person, but in the photos... well, let's say this is not one of my most shining moments as a polish blogger. Hopefully the color makes up for it!

Gosh that's pretty! It makes my eyes so happy! Hip Hoop Hooray is just one of those must-haves, as many of us are wont to call them. Love purple? You need this! Love deep pink? You need this! Love vibrant, vivacious, uber-feminine shades that make your fingers and nails look like they were beamed here from utopia? You really, really need this!
These pics were taken in very bright indirect light, but Hip Hoop Hooray is equally delicious in dimmer lighting and shade, where it slips into a rich, intense, glowing plummy mode. It's just a fantastic color with a superb formula that you're bound to want on your nails again and again. Thank you, Pam, for your color sense and your formulary skills. You've made my day!
And thank YOU for reading!
love,
Liz
