Pahlish Anticipating and Pacing

Anticipating and Pacing was released this past spring as part of indie polish maker Pahlish's Coney Island Queen collection. It's a gorgeous red leaning adobe coral creme with micro and small royal blue hex glitters and golden shimmer. This one was on my wish list forever and it lives up to all my expectations. I'm so glad to finally have it as part of my collection.

Anticipating and Pacing is one of those polishes that dry very quickly and so can do with a quick shake every now and then during application. Other than that, I had zero issues applying this polish. The consistency is creamy and dense, and the lovely glitter spread occurs naturally without any finagling. Anticipating and Pacing dries naturally to a semi matte finish.

Photos show two coats of Anticipating and Pacing over treatment and basecoat with a topcoat of Seche Vite. In natural light, the coral red base is quite bright but I found that it can take on a more orange-ish look under incandescent/halogen lighting and have included a few such pics so that you can see what I mean.

The adorable speckled look is common to all of the polishes in this collection, but I think it's especially wonderful in Anticipating and Pacing. I love the contrast of the royal blue against the creamy reddish coral. In the halogen lighting pics you can more easily see the golden shimmer this polish contains. Just a lovely collection of elements that work together beautifully.

Anticipating and Pacing is a polish that's suitable for any time of the year, in my opinion. I'm loving it for fall! A great option for when you're in the mood for red but want something with a little more character than a regular creme.
