Smitten Polish Bermuda Triangle

Like Isla de Muerto, Bermuda Triangle by indie polish maker Smitten Polish is another polish from Noelie's Shipwrecked collection released earlier this year. It is a lovely shimmering orange glass fleck polish. The color is particularly gorgeous and unusual. It has a soft pink cast in some lights that gives it a gentle salmony glow. Oranges can be harsh to wear but not this one. The way it looks on the nail reminds me of Swarovksi's padparadscha color, a vivacious melon with tints of tangerine.

Application was smooth and easy. Like Isla de Muerto, Bermuda Triangle is a fast drying polish begins to set a few seconds after it touches the nail. Tightening the top and giving it a few quick shakes during application helps to keep it liquid and flowing, as does the addition of polish thinner. Coverage on the first coat is thin and translucent but after the second I'd reach an opacity I was happy with. Bermuda Triangle dries very quickly to a satiny slightly textured finish.

Photos show two coats of Bermuda Triangle over treatment and basecoat with one topcoat of Seche Vite and a second topcoat of Poshe for a glassy smooth finish.

How gorgeous are those sparkling dimensional glass flecks? I'm loving this lively salmon-tinted tangerine. It's a sunset color. So delicate. I know it was released with a collection for summer, but right now it's a pretty good match to the leaves on the red maple in the front yard.

love,
Aunt Liz
