Coverage and color are sheer and diaphanous but buidable. The look becomes richer and the complexity of the polish more apparent in proportion to how many coats are applied. Two coats minimum, three is much better and four is better still. Meet Me at the Star Ferry applies easily in thin coats with OPI's pro-wide brush (I think I'm finally getting the hang of this thing) and it never felt like I had too much polish on my nails. More coats does mean a longer drying time overall, however, and the shimmery semi-metallic finish is very vulnerable to smudging and other evils. I did notice, and you will too when you see the photos, that this polish was unsportingly revealing of my nail ridges.
Meet Me on the Star Ferry dries naturally in good to average time to a smooth shiny finish.
Photos show three to four coats (two nails got a fourth coat to mend divots of my own making) of Meet Me on the Star Ferry over treatment and basecoat with a topcoat of Seche Vite.

This is a flattering color that's more interesting than your average neutral but low key enough to be entirely appropriate in a professional setting. I think I respond more to it on an intellectual level than an emotional one. It somehow manages to be both familiar and almost old fashioned while at the same time complex and even slightly edgy. It's a disconcerting combination, at least to me, and maybe that's why my heart doesn't bound behind this polish like a happy puppy.
love,
Aunt Liz
