Dreamland Mauka
Mauka was released last month by Missouri-based indie polish maker Dreamland Artisan Nail Lacquer as a limited edition July 2016 custom polish exclusively for members of the Hella Holo Customs (HHC) Facebook group. Officially described as a forest green holo, the base color is a beautiful dark skobeloff or pine green, a cool-toned variation of dark spring green. It is enriched and dimensionalized by holographically-nuanced shades of teal, sea green and viridian in ambient light. In direct sun there's a dazzling linear prismatic display surrounding a shimmering blaze of semi-metallic pine green, featuring slender sparkling ribbons of indigo, bright azure, spring green and olive edged by a trailing corona of orange and red sparks. Gorgeous!
Application was lovely. The consistency of Mauka is fluid, light and smooth with a medium viscosity and an easy, fluent, self-leveling glide over the nail. Pigmentation is very good, dispatching completely even opaque coverage in two coats. Cleanup is straightfoward with a little pigment travel and residual staining. Mauka dries naturally in very good time to a beautiful smooth and shiny finish.
Photos show two coats of Mauka over treatment and basecoat with a topcoat of Seche Vite.

Noelie always rises to the occasion beautifully with her HHC creations and she has certainly done so here. In case you're wondering, mauka is a Hawaiian word that means "toward the mountains," often used when giving directions. Perfect!

This is such a pretty polish. I especially like it on your skintone. And those photos - Wow!
