Mariah describes this as "an olive green linear holographic polish with a copious amount of multichrome flake that shifts from bronze to gold to green." Savannah asked for an olive along the lines of Rescue Beauty Lounge's No More War. To me, It's Treasure Savvy is a lovelier, more refined shade of olive with more grey to it, which makes sense since it's packed with finely milled holographic pigment that generates analogous, dimensionalizing hues within the base -- silvery laurel, golden olive and misty blue-green. Tiny multichrome flakies float within, revealing infinitesimal gleaming bits of dusky bronze, gold, green and beautiful flame-colored copper along the axis of light especially, where they are underlaid by a dusty glowing sheen of semi-metallic golden olive.
Application was wonderful. The consistency of It's Treasure Savvy is fluid, creamy and smooth with a thin-to-medium viscosity and a silky, self-leveling slip over the nail. The flakies are exceedingly well-behaved, going on smoothly and laying flat to the nail without stickups or stacking or protrusions over the free edge. Pigmentation is excellent. You could likely render a wearably opaque manicure in a single thicker coat, but two thinner ones are better for most even coverage. You get more flakies that way too, and they are easier to see. Cleanup is easy and straightforward. It's Treasure Savvy dries naturally in very good time to a smooth, almost glossy finish. Nice!

I love this rich, sophisticated olive green with its gorgeous gleaming flakies! They were a little difficult for my camera to capture well and are actually more overt in person. This polish feels great on the nail too, sleek, glossy and perfectly cured, like it would wear well over time. Excellent!

It looks stunning on you! I'm glad you were able to grab one and I hope you l8ve it as much as I do!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Savannah! It's a wonderful polish!
DeleteI remember the days long past when I would wonder why anyone would be interested in any polish that had the words olive green in it. Hah! Now, it is one of my favorites. This one is exquisite! When I first saw it, my thoughts snapped to - I want to be wearing this with an impeccably cut Chanel suit with a pencil skirt (all this if I were a size 2 or 4!). Then I thought that was too severe, how about something not as business-like. One of those safari outfits was out, lol. Too camp-ish. I had thought of stretch white pedal pushers / capris with a suitable print shirt with dark blues, olives, touches of black and a few bits of white. But that seems too deliberate. Then I started thinking about a casual, flow-y summer dress and the color... about that time I gave myself a mental shake, hahah. Focus! But I am wondering what you, with your wonderful imagery for color, would see what type of outfit this polish would excellently compliment. It's not that I do matchy matchy with clothes and polish. But this one is so unusual. Some polish does make my stream of consciousness take off!
ReplyDeleteI love your stream of consciousness, Lara! When I wore this, I had on a deep blue cotton top and linen flood pants in an almost-olive yellow green, same color family as It's Treasure Savvy so looked great with the polish. I think in winter this would be beautiful with any wool heather color, it's got that rich quality that would tie in nicely. Any deep rich color is going to be a good partner, or a complementary shade like purple, or any pattern with a touch of olive in it, as you imagined. Somehow I keep seeing it looking great with a deep magenta or bugundy color, in linen (I wear a lot of linen from FLAX), with navy linen pants. Sensuous! But I can also see it with a suit a la your image of Chanel, a silk suit or silk and wool in a foresty green with gold jewelry to pick up on the gold flashes in the polish.
DeleteWow, this is fun!
