Zoya Dita

Dita was released by Zoya as part of their La-Di-Da collection for summer 2009. Zoya describes it as a "soft yet saturated purple-toned medium berry-red creme." I agree with the saturated part but to my eye this is more of a deep vivid pink than a berry red, but it can look red in low light. Eye of the beholder, right?

The consistency of Dita is liquid with just enough viscosity to keep it where you put it. It applies easily and self-levels like a dream. As one with deeply ridged nails, I do so appreciate Zoya's ability to create these beautiful self-levelers. Dita's pigmentation is excellent, it's essentially a one coater. I did two to ensure full richness of color and experienced no streaking, patching or ghosting. So nice! It dries in good time to a glossy finish.

Photos show two coats of Dita over treatment and basecoat with a topcoat of Seche Vite.

This color is BEAUTIFUL! And powerful, it has a feel that's just full of fresh feminine resilience. It's a fabulous alternative to red for those days when you want deep color but just want to show some pink. Seriously colorful, but doesn't have to take itself too seriously. There's humor here, and fun!

Love it!

  1. This looks like such a cute polish -- I love how bright and cheerful it is! Seems like a summer toe color to me :)

    1. Hi Lucy! Dita is from Zoya's 2009 summer collection, it's definitely a summer color! I've been feeling a little lonesome for pink here as the days get shorter and shorter. Do you have any favorite pink polishes? Would you wear them during fall and winter? Inquiring minds! ;-)
